If you are contacting us regarding becoming a volunteer, We recruit throughout the year for the next E-learning and 2 full day course. Our preparation courses are usually held in March & October each year.

Additional follow on training in other relevant subjects may also be available.

Referral

What happens next?

Once we have received the completed referral form, one of our friendly Home-Start Family Support Coordinators will contact you to make an appointment to visit you at your home. During that visit, they will talk to you about how a Home-Start volunteer could best support you and your family. The Family Support Coordinator completes a short form during this visit which gives you the opportunity to tailor the support to meet your own needs and allow you to make the most effective change in the areas you feel you need most.

Home-Start support is confidential. Personal information about you and your family is not disclosed to anyone outside of Home-Start, without your consent, except where there is a concern about the safety or welfare of a child. You choose whether or not to accept Home-Start support and can change your mind at any time. A volunteer will only visit at your invitation.
